Geese Attack
An arcade game played on a geometrically accurate university campus. You
spawn at one building, you have to reach another before class starts, and
the campus geese would prefer you didn't.
Playable campuses: University of Waterloo, Wilfrid
Laurier University, University of Ottawa. Building footprints, footpaths,
green space and water come from OpenStreetMap at true coordinates;
building heights and terrain are measured from Ontario's LiDAR survey.
You have 105 seconds and three hearts. Pick one of eight majors, each
with its own speed, stamina and always-on specialty:
- Computer Science — regains health standing on grass
- Engineering — absorbs the first hit of every run
- Mathematics — ten more seconds, once, as the clock hits zero
- Business — a replacement day one every 25 seconds
- Software — dropped day ones hold geese twice as long
- Health Sciences — stamina returns three times as fast
- Environmental — geese notice you 35% closer
- Architecture — reveals the map at nearly twice the radius
Throw your weapon at a goose to stun it, or sacrifice a day one to
distract the flock. Free, no download and no account.
